Roxy is a regular on "Small Dog Special Days" (every Tuesday and Thursday) at Central Bark. Her birthday is December 26, 2005 so it is fitting that she is the December Dog of the Month.

Roxy's Background

Roxy is very special to her family, who waited a long time to get a dog! Carol and her husband loved dogs, but were allergic to them. By chance they found out that they seemed to be okay around Bichons, and soon Roxy joined the family. Roxy gets only the best food and clothing from Moochie Poochie next door. Moochie Poochie's groomer Laurel keeps Roxy glamorous, even painting her nails to match her current favorite outfit.

Roxy's Daycare Friends

Much like November's Dog of the Month Bandit, Roxy is quite the party girl! She has one special boyfriend, Alex the Maltese. Alex is very devoted to Roxy. One day dog handler Laura noticed that Roxy was not quite herself. She was moping around and one of her eyes looked strange. Alex stayed by her side, although Roxy was in no mood for fun and games. Carol came to pick her up and Roxy was taken to the vet. It turns out a grass awn was irritating the eye. Because of his dedication to Roxy, Carol decided Alex was a suitable boyfriend!

Roxy loves to play with all the boy dogs (poor Alex). Another daycare regular is Sassy the Cairn Terrier, who also likes to play with the boys. Roxy is not too fond of Sassy.

Roxy is a founding member of the exclusive White Dog Club, which also includes Alex, Cameron, Bodhi, and Samson.

Roxy's Likes

She loves to play and get dirty like a tomboy, but also likes to get dressed up and look pretty. She loves the boy dogs, and tolerates the girl dogs. She enjoys rough and tumble play. Roxy loves daycare!

Roxy's Dislikes

Roxy does not like competition when it comes to the boys! Also, Roxy would really rather not spend the night here! She never seems all that unhappy while she's boarding, because she plays all day, eats well and sleeps soundly at night. The reason we know that boarding is not her preference, is that after a long boarding stay she is not so happy her first day back at daycare. Once she gets picked up that night, she gets back into her regular routine of loving playtime. It hurts our feelings a little bit, but there is no place like home!
